The 35th Vijayawada Book Festival is taking place from 2nd to 12th January 2025, bringing together hundreds of publishers at the Indira Gandhi stadium. We set up a stall to present our initiatives, projects, our ideals and raise donations.
Balaswecha handbook

We presented our handbook we designed with the help of our volunteers at the stall which attracted attention from school teachers, academicians, and parents.
3D Printing showcase

We demonstrated how 3D printing works and how we are using it on our makerspaces. Both kids and adults observer the printing process with great curiosity!
Copyright-free e-book store

We setup a simple online store to buy copyright-free and public domain Telugu literature to increase awareness about copyrights, creative commons, and the benefits of freely licensed media.

Re-licensing campaign
We discussed with various publishers and authors who were present at the book fair and advocated for re-licensing their works into creative commons. We received mixed responses but were able to start the discussion!
Swag
We also raised donations by distributing stickers, t-shirts, calendars, and small booklets. The pocket calendars were a great hit.
